Thai Trade Industry Media, in association with Asia Food Beverage Thailand magazine, has published an in-depth report on the food and beverage industry outlook for 2011 in Thailand. Well researched and presented, the report includes manufacturing, food and beverage, export, ingredient and distribution trends. Using analysis of data from 2010, and insightful input from leading executives, the outlook reports:

• The overall export of Thailand in 2010 increased by 20%; this is expected to continue to grow in 2011
• Although affected by the global economy and exchange fluctuations, the Thai economy can be improved with investment in renewable energy, transportation & communication
• Tourism is expected to increase, with around 15.5 million foreign visitors anticipated in 2011

• The top qualifications are imperative for successful distributors in the food service and beverage business

Success at Health Ingredients Europe!

We had a great time at the Health Ingredients Europe expo in Madrid, where we met up with existing customers and met some potentially new ones. Plus, it was a good opportunity to catch up with some of our Agents and Representatives. Although a relatively new event, there were a fantastic number of visitors and exhibitors throughout the three days, and the event and venue staff were really helpful and professional.

The added bonus for us was our sponsorship of the Most Innovative Product in the HiE Excellence Awards, for which we had the pleasure of presenting the award to DSM Nutritional Products for Fruitflow. Fruitflow won the Heart Health category, but also was the winner for Overall Excellence, so very well done to DSM!

Andy Kay and Mark Fillingham, Sales Managers for Armfield, were lucky enough to meet Amanda Hamilton, TV Nutritionist. Co-producer of television shows Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses, Spa of Weight Loss for Life and How to Live Longer, Amanda has also written books on nutrition and weight loss and provides detox centres across England, Scotland and Portugal. Armfield at Health Ingredients Europe

Armfield will be exhibiting at the Health Ingredients & Natural Ingredients Europe in Madrid, Spain. The exhibition and conference are held at IFEMA 16th to 18th November 2010. The revolutionary FT174X

The latest addition to the Armfield product range is the revolutionary FT174X HTST/UHT Processing System.

Built with flexibility and functionality in mind, the reconfigurable modular design is optimised to process most liquid food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical & nutraceutical applications.

Heat treatment previously used specific heat exchangers for specific products. Due to the ever more demanding market place, flexibility is needed to allow different products to be tested on different processes. As a result, Armfield developed the FT174X HTST/UHT Processing System which now leads the way forward in Research and Development technology.

The FT174X system is innovative in that it is the most flexible heat treatment system on the market for use in the R&D laboratory environment. The system offers multiple heating and cooling options for liquid products of varying viscosity by using plate heat exchangers, tubular heat exchangers, direct steam injection or a combination of all 3 with the combination changeable to suit each product requirement.
